Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about appearance, durability, maintenance, and warranty coverage.
Does the film change the appearance of the stone?
No. The protection film is designed to be clear and discreet while maintaining the natural look of your stone.
Can the film be removed later?
Yes. The film can be removed if required, however it should be professionally removed to ensure the surface underneath is not damaged and the removal process is carried out safely.
Does sealing the stone already protect it?
Stone sealers help slow absorption but do not prevent etching, stains or scratches. Protection film provides a physical barrier against these types of damage.
Will the film turn yellow over time?
Our protection films are designed for long-term clarity and durability when properly maintained.
How long does the protection last?
Protection film is designed to provide long-term protection for your surfaces. With proper care, it can last for several years depending on usage and conditions.
What warranty do you provide?
We provide a 7-year warranty covering defects in the film or installation.
This warranty covers issues such as:
- Film defects
- Adhesion issues
- Installation faults
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, misuse, cutting on the film, excessive heat exposure, or physical damage caused by external factors.
Can you cut directly on the surface once the film is installed?
No. While the film helps protect against scratches and stains, it is not designed to be used as a cutting surface. Cutting directly on the film may damage it and is not covered under warranty.
Can the film be applied to existing stone?
Yes, in many cases the film can be applied to existing stone surfaces as long as the surface is in suitable condition. We carefully prepare the surface before installation to ensure proper adhesion.
What surfaces can you protect?
We commonly protect:
- Kitchen benchtops
- Marble dining tables
- Kitchen islands
- Bathroom vanities
- Stone coffee tables
- Other stone surfaces
